Over more than 25 years conducting wind band and orchestral ensembles, Dr. Timmons has had the privilege of programming and performing a wide range of repertoire — from foundational works by Holst, Grainger, and Sousa to contemporary voices including John Mackey, Frank Ticheli, Omar Thomas, and Cait Nishimura. He recently conducted Thomas’s Of Our New Day Begun and Forward/Still during a residency with the composer. He has also commissioned new works, including Joseph Turrin’s Circle Dance (2016 world premiere) and participated in consortium commissioning projects.
The list below represents the wind band and orchestral literature he has conducted across his career, spanning school ensembles, honor bands, and guest conducting engagements.
